April 10:2021

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
Acts 3:2‭-‬9 (NKJV‬‬)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Most times, when we are expecting God to do the miraculous in our lives or if we are expecting answers to prayers, the usual thing we find ourselves doing is imagining or setting up ways that we expect it to happen. We kind of box God into a particular route or action through which He would answer or work the miracle in our minds.

The good news though is that when God answers, He breaks out of our stereotype and blows our minds. He always exceeds our expectations. Imagine the crippled man in our text of today, he must have always called out to people to pray for him as they went into the temple to pray while they dropped alms for him. His expectation never exceeded receiving larger amounts each time. However, he would have silently wished to be able to walk into the temple with others too.

When his time of elevation came, God broke all protocols of men for his sake. He was elevated in triple-fold. The Bible says he stood, walked, and leapt! God is the master when it comes to elevating His own. If we stay connected to His Spirit in faith and prayer, elevation time will come upon us suddenly.

Beloved, do not limit God. He has many ways of blessing you and He needs your cooperation. Get ready for His overflow of favour and goodness into your life this year.
