Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and His law, he meditates day and night.
Psalm 1:1-2 (NKJV)

If there was ever a time we need to walk in God’s blessing, it is now. A lot is happening in our world today and the truth is that the world we used to know has changed. But the good news is that for those who are blessed, it only gets better. Hallelujah! The blessing being referred to here is the blessing of the Lord. Our text in Psalm 1 clearly defines qualities of the blessed man: “…who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners…”

It is not just enough to be born again. We need to walk in the blessing to be able to fulfil God’s purpose for our lives. The absence of the blessing often exposes people to struggles, bitterness, unfruitfulness, lack and frustration; it will be difficult, if not impossible, for such a believer to fulfil God’s assignment.

Brethren, let us get serious with the things of God and shun fellowship with people, places and ideas that do not glorify God. We are also given a sure path to the blessing, which is to delight ourselves in God’s word and meditate on it day and night. This is the mark of spiritual maturity and development.

Proverbs 10:22 says, “The Blessings of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it.”  Also, Deuteronomy 28:8 says, “The Lord will command the Blessing on you in your store houses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” Wow, I'm super excited about the blessing!

Beloved, it is time to walk in the fullness of God’s blessing. Hallelujah!

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die for my sins. I receive Jesus into my heart to save me and I accept and confess Him as my Lord. I believe that You raised Him from the dead for my justification. I accept and confess Jesus Christ as my Savior and my Lord. I receive eternal life into my spirit and I am now a new creation. Old things have passed away." Amen.
