Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Ephesians 5:1-2

Paul, in writing to the Ephesians, asked them to imitate God. This letter is also for us in this present age. We would not be asked to imitate God if we did not have the capacity to do so. We can imitate God because His love has been poured out into our hearts; so it is time to love. We must love, we must be kind, we must forgive and we must help others.

We must not manipulate. Our normal disposition should be to give to people. When we see someone with a genuine need, we are to help as much as we can and as much as God allows.

We are not to love without discernment; we are to love with knowledge. “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment” (Philippians 1:9).

In every situation, if you let him, God will show you how to love people. “Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3:5). We should never be afraid to show love, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

We have the anointing to love. We do not have to feel good to love people. The anointing will break the flesh yoke, so when we use it, we will succeed in loving others. Jesus was known for miracles, but He was known for love above everything else. And we are to be His imitators.

Sometime, fear of being hurt and abused may make us not want to show love to others, but even when we are abused, we will always come out on top. Therefore, let us stir up love by loving one another.

Beloved, adjust your perspective. Start looking at life from God’s perspective – LOVE. Love will always keep your heart right.
