For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)

In the old covenant, God promised the Israelites a land that flowed with milk and honey; a synonym for abundant provision and all-round prosperity. The Israelites had been slaves in Egypt, suffering hardships and bondage. God, through Moses, led them out of Egypt through many signs, wonders and mighty manifestations of His power. The Israelites were destined for the Promised Land; however, they experienced a delay because of their unbelief.

Notwithstanding, God raised a faithful Leader Joshua (meaning ‘Saviour’ in Hebrew) who successfully led God’s children to possess the Promised Land. This story is a picture of the plan of God for everyone who will put his/her faith in Jesus (‘Saviour’ in Greek) Christ. Jesus came to deliver us when we were subject to the bondage of Satan and all his cohorts. He went down to hell as our sacrifice and defeated the forces of hell to set us free and grant us access into the abundant life that God had always intended for us. God raised Him from the dead to demonstrate that His sacrifice was accepted and that the full demands of Justice had been met for our sake.

Today, the scriptures declare: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” Every believer in Christ has been brought into the Land of Promises where every promise of scripture can be appropriated in our lives.

Beloved, Jesus has qualified you to enjoy the fulfilment of every single promise of scripture that you may desire, and in so doing, you can escape the corruption, limitations and decay that surrounds you. Hallelujah!
