June 12:2019

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing,”
1 Timothy 6:12-14

In this letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul admonishes him to spend the rest of his life on earth fighting the good fight of faith. This is a lesson that is applicable to every single one of us today.

Unfortunately, many believers have not come to terms with this reality; they think that once you are saved, you will not need to contend anymore with natural or spiritual opposition. They fail to understand that as long as we are on this side of eternity (earth), we will constantly be exposed to conflict on different dimensions, most of which are Satanic in origin.

The good news, however, is that this fight is a good fight! It is good because we already attained victory in Christ before the battle began; in actuality, we are not fighting to attain a new victory but rather to enforce and maintain that which we already have. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).

We have been well equipped by God with more than enough grace to overcome every kind of hostility throughout our tenure on earth. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Beloved, the grace of God is sufficient for you to handle any situation that you are facing or that you will face! Your victory has already been paid for; it is already assured. You will experience many great victories before this year is over. Amen!
