Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV)

The scriptures admonish us to love one another and go further to state that anyone who does not love does not know God. This is literally saying that knowing God means loving everyone, regardless of race, tribe, colour or social status; they are first God’s before anything else.

Loving all also means forgiving people of their shortcomings and being patient with their differences. Forbearing one another and forgiving one another. If any man has a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye (Colossians 3:13).

Do not let any root of bitterness come between you and your love walk with God. Choosing to love may not look like a walk in the park but the Bible also tells us that His love is shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5) and that He has also given to us everything that pertains to life and godliness (1 Peter 1:3). This includes the ability to love like He does.

Dear child of God, choose to love the God way. Choose to look beyond the faults and see things as God sees them. His grace is sufficient for every good work.
