April 18:2018

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live BY FAITH.”
Romans 1:16-17

The subject of faith is a key element of the gospel of Christ; this is why it is referred to as “the word of faith” (Romans 10:8). You see, in the gospel, the life of faith is introduced as a replacement to the life of fear, rituals and fruitless labours. To live by faith simply means to believe the message of the gospel, and then start acting accordingly.

Anytime someone believes the gospel (good news) in its simplicity, the “arm” of God is revealed and manifested to that person. In other words, the person starts to experience the power of God and get results consistent with what they have heard. “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” - Isaiah 53:1 (NKJV)

Faith is needed for us to access the grace required to live a fruitful and fulfilled life in this world. Grace is God's favour and enablement that is made available for us, but we cannot derive its benefits until we use our faith to receive it. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” - Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)

As we start believing the words of the gospel, we enter into a “zone” of mental and spiritual rest in which we are no longer worried or bothered about anything. In this “zone”, we have total confidence in God and we know that all things are possible.

I prophesy that this year will be your best year thus far! You will experience the arm of the Lord in every facet of your life and you will rest from all your fears and worries. Amen!
