Speak With Specificity

May 30:2019

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Mark 11:23

Our words play a vital role when it comes to taking control. In reality, what we say is what we get and we will ultimately experience in our lives whatever we constantly speak about. In the many instances that Jesus demonstrated control, He usually did so by speaking. He spoke to the sea, the wind, the fig tree, withered hands, fevers, etc.

In Mark 11:23, Jesus taught us how to move the mountains in our lives. The word "mountain" as used here was a reference to a literal mountain, but by implication, it would include all situations in our lives that have become obstacles or hindrances to our joy and progress.

As believers, we have the authority to control the spiritual, physical, biological and chemical forces within our vicinity by speaking. Jesus demonstrated this reality in the same chapter of the gospel of Mark by speaking to a fig tree that wasn’t bearing any fruits (Mark 11:14).

When you do speak, it is important you speak with specificity, that is, you say exactly what you desire to see manifested in your life. If you are not pleased with your present condition in life, then change it by changing what you are saying. Speak words that will cause a positive change and at the same time create the future that you desire.

Beloved, as you open your mouth to speak in faith this year, God will accelerate its performance in your life and bring it all to pass, in Jesus name!
