I Am From Zion

May 20:2019

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, In His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge.
Psalm 48:1-3

“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” – Obadiah 1:17 (NKJV)

“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” – Luke 10:20 (NKJV)

All the scriptures in today’s devotional text point to the fact that Zion is the highest point (city) and the best place to be born and to come from! The citizenship of Zion beats the very best of what the world can offer.

Jesus said we are to rejoice because we are registered as citizens there. As citizens of Zion, God cannot allow certain things to happen to us because of who we belong to. For instance, as a citizen of some countries, if you find yourself in danger in another country and your government is informed, you can rest assured that your government will do all they can to get you out.

If earthly governments do all in their power to help, save and rescue her citizens, how much more ‘Zioners’? As citizens of Zion, we only need to speak out in our authority and our help will show up speedily. When we speak demons flee, sickness leaves and depression disappears!

But, if you don’t know that your words carry Zion’s power and authority, then situations that KNOW they are not allowed to trouble you will remain with you because of your lack of knowledge. You must learn how to exercise your authority as a member of Zion!

Beloved, there is nothing bad or evil that can stick with you as a citizen of Zion.
