They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.
Psalm 34:5 (NKJV)

Looking in and around can be so habit-forming! Oftentimes, we get carried away as we gaze into the complexities of life's puzzles, our human challenges, the limitations and so on. A simple reality check always reveals our vulnerability as we continually set our gaze in and around, instead of looking up to Jesus. Something supernatural happens to us as we look to Him. There is divine transformation as we look up and behold His image.

It is truly amazing, as the more we look up to Him, the more we become like Him. This is not saying you should ignore or deny your circumstances, but you should not build a camp around them. There is a connection between what you see and what you become: While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

The circumstances we focus on are indeed subject to change. As believers, we should rather focus on the One who changes not (Hebrews 13:8).

Beloved, set your focus on Jesus. Your Lord and Saviour will cause the supernatural grace of God to ‘arrest’ your circumstances and bring them into conformity with God's word and standards. Are you worried, downcast or feeling a sense of loss? Whatever it is, look up to Him and see your situation turn around for the best. Hallelujah!
