And Laban said to him, “Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.”
Genesis 30:27 (NKJV)

Our associations influence how much we experience God's increase in our lives. This is because the grace of increase tends to rub off on anyone who spends time in its vicinity. Laban observed that the blessings and increase in his family and business were connected to Jacob's presence in his home.

Jacob himself knew that the grace of increase that was operating in his own life was also affecting the life of Laban. “For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming...” (Genesis 30:30)

We see this principle repeated throughout the scriptures; ungodly associations produced decrease, while godly associations produced increase. The apostles of Jesus, for instance, tapped into the grace of increase that operated in the life of Jesus to the extent that the early church experienced a great increase in a short period of time.

Today, all of us who are in Christ have inherited His grace of increase as our birthright. This grace is enhanced in our lives when we associate regularly with people who are already operating in it and producing increase with it.

We associate with people through our friendships with them or in other cases through a mentor-protégé type relationship. In both cases, it is important that we listen carefully to their words and closely observe their lifestyle so that we can learn the keys to their increase.

Beloved, I pray that God will, in the next few months, grant you access to the associations that will help you advance to your next level of increase. In Jesus name, Amen!
