Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things

The Bible says what we think about matters because it must produce a harvest of sorts for us. When we meditate on the wrong thoughts they come to life and become behaviour patterns or situations we really do not want. But, we have the ability to think right and not entertain thoughts of defeat, pride, lust, etc., in our minds. The bible says that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and, as such, we are responsible for what goes into our bodies, and this includes our minds.

We are not dumping grounds for all the evil thoughts the devil throws at us. We need to stop these and speak up against them on purpose. For instance, you are a professional tennis player and, one day, during a practice session, this thought comes to you: just imagine you break both your arms this minute; this will be the end of your career. This thought did not come from ‘nowhere’. It is straight from the pit of hell and you must speak up against it by saying that it will never happen. The direction we allow our thoughts to go is largely accountable for the results we have right now.

Beloved, begin to check the thoughts that come to you today and ensure that only those which are the truths God has spoken about you are allowed to ‘stay’. Think about what you are thinking about!

Prayer & Confession of Faith

I will think great thoughts and I will experience great things in my life. I will only think on the truths contained in God's word. I will think of myself as high as He thinks of me. Amen!
