Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (NKJV)

Before we came to Jesus, we were sinners, but as soon as we gave our lives entirely to Christ, our sins were remitted; they were blotted out. Our sins ceased to exist. God took away our old nature and replaced it with the nature of righteousness. We became new creatures in Christ Jesus.

Brethren, as new creatures, we have been fashioned after the image of Christ! Standing before God, He sees us clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. When God looks at you He sees Christ! We need to understand the truth of what the new creation is, so our exercise of faith is not hindered. Faith is essential in Christian living, for God honours those who come to Him in faith.

Beloved, God sees you in Christ, but you must also see yourself in Him. It is time to make your declaration of faith, not as you feel, but based on who God is and who you are in Him! May the joy of salvation flood your heart and may you take on this new identity with confidence.

Prayer & Confession of Faith

I confess that I am a new creation in Christ. Old things have passed away! I have the nature of the Son of God in me, and sin has no dominion over me anymore. Hallelujah!
