You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 32:19 (NKJV)

Managing relationships requires a lot of manoeuvrings - knowing the right thing to say at any given time, knowing when to be silent or when to voice an opinion, knowing what is expected of you, understanding the place of perception and assumptions in human behaviour, and taking decisions are what daily life entails! You probably would wish you knew the motives behind every action that was taken by a friend colleague or relative…is it genuine, is it cloaked in fancy garb yet underneath is vice and malice? Or could that seemingly cold decision taken on your behalf be for your good in the long run?

No wonder Solomon asked the Lord for one thing only. Wisdom! He needed the wisdom to lead God's people. He did not want to let God down and jeopardise the throne! And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours? (1 Kings 3:8-9)

When you lean on God and seek His guidance, the Holy Spirit will give you counsel. He will give everyone that asks according to His ways and according to the fruit of His doings. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Christians in the place of leadership, and wherever they find themselves, need wisdom to channel their affairs and tasks as God would want them to. God’s presence is not only essential in church or religious gatherings; you need Him in your home, office, social gatherings, etc. God, who made man, knows the ways of all men. While we may contend with receiving and decoding messages, particularly the non-verbal ones which experts say amount to over 80% of communication, God’s eyes are open to all.

Beloved, seek the face of Jesus Christ and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Through this, you will be a source of light to the world. You will lead in the fear of the Lord and bring many to Jesus by the sheer glory of God’s hand upon your life.

Prayer & Confession of Faith

Into thine hands, O Lord, I commit my life. In all my dealings, grant me your wise counsel. May I always be victorious in every sphere of life, and may all who come in contact with me attest that I am led by Your Spirit. In Jesus name! Amen!
