THE POWER OF ASSOCIATION

July 15:2018

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.
Psalm 1:1-2 (NKJV)

`

Who are you hanging around with? You become like those with whom you closely associate – good or bad. Our discernment is vital when we are choosing our associations because they can affect our spiritual and physical outcomes.

We are to actively seek Christ-centred connections. So, are there any connections God has instructed you to stay away from so that He can get you to His desired destination? Connect with His divine plan for your life and evaluate your associations.

God has a plan for your life, but not everyone can be a part of that plan. Who or what we associate with can interfere with those God-ordained plans and timing.

Our associations can also be in terms of the books we read, the music we listen to or the movies we watch. They all affect our minds and we are transformed into the things we behold or hear often.

But, there is an association that can change us positively and permanently. When we choose to associate with God and His Word above anything or anyone else, we become transformed into what we behold, we will begin to see ourselves as God sees us, and we will become all that God has created us to become

Beloved, God has great plans for you. Walk with Him and connect with His Word, and your life will be transformed for good; you will be blessed in all you do.

Prayer & Confession of Faith

The law of the Lord is my delight. I will continue to meditate on it daily so that my mind will be renewed and I can become all that God wants me to be. I reject every association that will not take me to the finish line. Amen
