Believe God’s Word

June 25:2018

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
John 11:40 (NKJV)

God’s word is God’s creative power. In the book of Genesis, God spoke and saw what He spoke come into being. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made’ (John 1:1-3).

Everything we see was first created by words. The answer to every prayer and desire of our heart must first be located in the word. No wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 119:18 ‘Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.’

Taking God at His word is what qualifies you to see wondrous things in His word. Believing is your access to the treasures in His Word. When God speaks, see His words come to pass in your life. The only way God’s word can come alive for you is if you believe and you speak it. God has so much respect for His word; He says heaven and earth shall pass away, but His words will never pass away. Study the word of God and determine what it states for every situation in your life. Speak His glorious words back to Him. He is bound to honour them.

The more you believe, the more you will see. Ask the Lord for grace to see His perspective on those things that the world may take for granted. May He open your eyes to behold the great things He has kept in store for you. The Word opens up to people who approach it in faith and you can receive only what you can see. Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” (Jeremiah 1:12).

Beloved, take that step of faith, reach out and take hold of what you see.

Prayer & Confession of Faith

I believe God’s word and so I see wondrous things in His word. I see all that Jesus died for me to receive, I see the promises of God for me and I see everything that is my inheritance in Christ. Hallelujah!
