God’s Call?

June 15:2018

And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.
Exodus 3:7-10 (NKJV)

The shepherd Moses was out with his flock one day when he saw a very strange sight: a bush lit on fire but not burning up! God caught the attention of Moses. During that encounter, God revealed His plan to deliver Israel from Egyptian bondage. It is important to note that what was on God's mind was His will and plan for Israel, and Moses was the one God chose to accomplish that purpose. Each time God reveals what He is about to do, it is an invitation for you to make yourself available for His use in the accomplishment of that purpose.

Moses becoming a national hero or superstar was not God's focus. God's focus was the deliverance of His people. In what way has God been trying to get your attention? Do you think that He does not have need of you? Think again! For the fact that He has kept you alive through the ups and downs, is indicative that God has need of you to accomplish a purpose. Take time to reflect and seek God's face, and may the eyes of your inner man open to see God's direction for you.

Child of God, today, seek to have and maintain a loving relationship with your Heavenly Father who will daily fulfil His purpose through you for His own glory.

Prayer & Confession of Faith

My Heavenly Father, the greatest honour is to bow at Your feet. My Lord, my God, I seek to hear You clearly and to determine what Your will is concerning my life and service to You. Be glorified my God. Amen!
