Preserved In Christ

June 10:2018

Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ.
Jude 1:1

`

The scripture for meditation today presents a picture of someone who purchased precious goods that are at risk of being damaged or destroyed, if not properly preserved. In the natural, we keep fresh products in refrigerators or deep freezers, depending on how long we want them to stay good. God the Father purchased us with the precious blood of His dear Son. He sanctified us and keeps us preserved in a location that is impermeable to evil or decay – in Jesus Christ! This is such great news!

Knowing that we are preserved from the evil that befalls the world is not only good news, but it is exceedingly reassuring in these end times that evil is on a rampage, disasters occur by day and night, and medical discoveries of killer diseases have heightened the fears of people. By any standard, the human mind can barely manage these problems, if not by the grace of God.

As a child of God, your safety is certain. You have no need to panic when you hear about these evils because you are preserved in Christ. “A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you” (Psalm 91:7). To remain preserved, take heed that you do not wilfully set out to break the hedge that the Lord has placed around you! Take heed, for the Lord says He would prefer that you are on fire with the things of God and not lukewarm or cold! Take heed that you do not forsake the yoke of the Lord for the devil's yoke. Take heed and enjoy God's divine cover.

Child of God, your Father will never abandon you. You are in His secret place where evil cannot gain access. You are safe and secure in Him! Amen!
