The Love Nature

June 06:2018

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV)

The idiomatic phrase, Love makes the world go round, reflects the belief that the world will be much saner if people willingly express love to one another. The love nature is not necessarily about showing acts of kindness, but essentially about the motives behind those acts of kindness. Are you willing to give without expecting anything in return? Are you willing to stand by someone in the tough period of their life, as you were with that person when successes were prevalent? Do your thoughts celebrate your neighbour's achievements? Above all, are you loyal, faithful and diligent in your service to God?

The times are tumultuous. Stories of ethnic discontent, economic despair and emotional desperation abound. People will rather build a cocoon around themselves and hope that through the ideals of religion, whom they worship will protect and preserve them from the external chaos. As children of God, we note that the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein (Psalm 24:1). The world knows and experiences God's love through you, for love is the main fabric of God's nature.

Are you asking, “How do I live in love and make it the prime motive for all I do?” If you are, thanks for opening your heart to love and be loved. The love nature comes through the new birth. The love mindset comes through renewal and mirroring Jesus.

Beloved, study the word of God to access and gain a revelation of His love. Remember, Jesus loves you!

Prayer & Confession of Faith

Surely Lord, You require that I love You with all my heart, all my soul and my mind. This I gladly seek to do. From this day on, I let go of my inhibitions and prejudices. May my heart understand love in its purest form and be Your glowing example to the world. In Jesus name, Amen!
