Gift of Love

June 02:2018

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (NKJV)

`

Do not be dismayed by the views of others. Rather, be amazed by God's view of you. For God so loved the world (you) that He gave His only begotten Son! One of the clearest evidence of a love nature is the act of giving. A heart filled with love is willing to go the extra mile to bring a smile on the face of a loved one. God, in sending Jesus to take your sins upon Himself, was not performing an act of religion or just a fulfilment of prophecy; it was an act of love.

For us humans, if love is unrequited or unreciprocated in some measure, we feel hurt. But for God Almighty, He loved us nonetheless. But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). He wants to talk with you, walk with you, share His thoughts and listen to you speak. The Holy Spirit craves fellowship with you. Let your heart open up to him so you can confess I love Him, because He first loved me (1 John 4:19).

Beloved, fear is dispelled in love. Your confidence as a child of God is strengthened. You can come boldly to His throne and access His grace. You are special to God; created uniquely from any other. He has asked that you cast your cares upon Him. God loves you! What are you waiting for?

Prayer & Confession of Faith

My heavenly Father, thank You for loving me like no other. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus Christ, to die for me. Your love reassures me that I am special and a gift to my generation. I surrender all to You and I know that my walk with You will transform me from glory to glory. In Jesus name. Amen!
