But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

There is a lot of 'seeking' going on in the lives of people today. Meeting the daily needs of life has placed immense pressure on people, to the extent that they violate God's principles. Our heavenly Father and Maker understands our nature and knows our needs. This is why He says clearly in His word that we should seek Him first. Our God is a God of order and He will not violate His own principles. He has set things in order for our good and He has sent an incentive to seeking Him first - and all these things shall be added to you.

It is such an amazing thing that we have a gracious Father! Imagine what His word says - all these things shall be added! What God requires of us is just a change of priorities. It is never in doubt that He is a generous Father. What we should stir up is the consciousness that we need to be kingdom-minded children. As ambassadors of Christ, we need to pay more attention to the things that matter to His heart. His priority is the winning of souls for His Kingdom.

Decide today to re-order your priorities and adopt a kingdom-minded focus and see how generously God will continually add to your life.

Beloved, the scriptures say, …as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3), be assured that He is faithful to His word.
