Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:5 (NKJV)

The dictionary describes hope as a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen. Therefore hope is our expectation and desire for the things we want to happen in our lives. What are you hoping for right now? God has promised us in His word that our expectations will be met. Are you expecting good things to happen to you always? Or do you expect that no good thing can happen to you?

If what you are expecting in life is not up to what God has promised you in His word, now is the time to change it. Do not go through life expecting less. Do not settle for less! It's not what God planned for us when He sent His only begotten son Jesus to die on the cross. The Bible said, Christ in us is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

When we place our hope in God, He will come through for us. He is interested in our needs as well as our wants. God gives in abundance. He desires to bless us more than we desire to receive.

All we need to do as children of God is to believe Him and expect that whatsoever we desire from Him will happen. He is in the business of blessing us, but we must be in the business of receiving from Him as well.

Beloved, your expectations will come to pass; you will not be disappointed. Keep on trusting, keep believing and be expectant. God’s blessings will manifest in your life. Amen!
