LOVE: THE PATH TO ELEVATION

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
1 Corinthians 13:4-11 (NKJV)

As far as God is concerned, the practice of divine love is the only acceptable standard for Christian living and growth. This is obviously why the Holy Spirit inspired the apostle Paul to write these words to the Corinthian church: “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” - 1 Corinthians 13:11.

He wrote these words within the context of his phenomenal expose to the love lifestyle. The conclusion is that any behaviour that is not based on love is considered to be childish. In other words, we are acting immaturely whenever our speech, understanding and thoughts are contrary to the love nature.

Note that the process of switching from childishness to maturity is not complicated, even though it is often hard on the flesh. It is simply a matter of meditation, which is then followed by a decision that is backed by determination.

To operate as mature Christians, we must simply “put away” childish things and start to operate according to the love standard. We must always remember that the love standard is the highest standard; it is the God standard. When we walk in love then our standard of living is elevated above the average mediocre standards and limitations of this world.

Beloved, get ready for elevation in every area of your life! Get ready to experience a life that is without limits! Amen!

Prayer & Confession of faith
I choose maturity over childishness. I operate according to the love standard. My speech, understanding and thoughts are in line with the love nature. I live above the standards of this world. Amen!
